We went just this last weekend and the experience was not great. Firstly we paid almost $100 for only 3 people to skate for an hour. We didnt even get to skate for an hour because one of the workers was on a power trip and kicked us out for taking our mask off for a second to catch a breath. Mind you we were socially distant from everyone when we had our mask off for a minute. She never asked us to put our mask back on she went straight to screaming and yelling at us to leave and wouldnt even allow us to put our shoes on. Almost 85% of the people on the rink werent wearing mask, yet we were targeted. I understand that wearing a mask is mandated in the building but for workers to treat people like that over a mask is uncalled for. If she had nicely asked me to put my mask back on I would of.

For those who skate either for fun or for sport, this is the best rink around. Theres less people and more space than Lloyd center or any other rink in the area that Ive been to, making it a significantly less crowded and an overall more pleasant experience. The staff is always welcoming, engaging, and ready to help. As far as renting skates goes, they now have both the hard plastic models and the more cloth-type model that you may find more comfortable. For those seasoned skaters looking for a home rink, this is it. The coaches are all very skilled, friendly, and varied in teaching style. I have no doubt that anyone can find a coach that fits their needs at the Sherwood rink. If you can get to the rink during normal school hours, that is the best time to practice as it will likely just be you and a handful of other people on the ice. Not only that, but many a time I have been told by visiting skaters that our ice is simply better than the ice of other rinks. Overall, it is amazing environment and in the over five years I have skated there I have not had a single bad experience.

Definitely prefer this rink over others in the area. Two of my children really enjoy taking lessons here.

I used to come here as a teenager. The prices were fair, the facilities were clean, and the ice quality was good. I now live in San Francisco where ice time is expensive. I was looking forward to going back to this rink over the Christmas holiday. But if their website is to be believed they want $25 for the public skate. The new owner/manager must be a real weasel to charge $25 for the public skate. Its now more expensive to skate in Sherwood, Oregon than San Francisco, CA which is notoriously expensive. I doubt your average family in Sherwood is making as much as your average family in California.

Great establishment. The staff is so friendly, the coaches are very knowledgeable and work very closely with parents and students alike. Concession stand is limited, but priced very fairly. They keep the ice clean, and the lobby cleaner. Only complaint is small children are ALWAYS running around wild. Though that is on the shoulders of the parents, not the arena. Pro shop connected, owned and operated by a gentleman named Phil. Very helpful and great prices on hockey and figure skating equipment.

So, I looked online a while ago and they had date night for Friday nights. I thought that was cool just to have a couples night. I checked back the day I was going to take my wife and realized it was replaced with disco nights in the calendar, but also had every Friday night is date night. I called and asked and they reassured me that it was date night. When we got there there were a bunch of kids. When we got to the front of the line we asked and the two employees had no idea what we were talking about. So I talked to the operations manager and he said it was just a deal on the price. Despite, what I felt being mislead we enjoyed the time. We didnt trust to drink from our drinks though when we came back from skating. 2 stars because I was really looking forward to it being just couples. I have kids so its not that Im a hater of kids.

Its always nice on the ice. Its a funny thing though. In the winter its the most busiest . In the summer when its the hottest the place gets less people coming in. I love it all year long personally. When I watch my daughter skating and see how she as progressed . I must say they have a great staff and the instructors/coaches know what they are doing . Good program for the little ones as well.

Clean lobby, clean locker room, clean bathrooms. You can see the employees working to keep the community safe by the way they maintain Sherwood Ice Arena. Friendly, knowledgeable. The Pro shop on-site is the best. They know their products, are honest, and super helpful.

Really nice friendly staff. Nice clean facility. Decent change rooms. Two hockey arenas closer than Sherwood but I still go to Sherwood preferably. Good quality ice and even the guests have all been very cool. Hockey people for the most part are pretty chill. I highly recommend the Sherwood hockey arena.
